Tahune Airwalk

The Tahune AirWalk is an exhilarating nature-based experience set in one of Tasmania’s most world-renowned forests, the Tahune Forest Reserve. One of the most visited Tasmanian attractions, the AirWalk offers spectacular views of the state’s famous Southern Forests.

The AirWalk is a walkway that takes you on a journey through the treetops in this stunning wet eucalypt forest. Extending for 597m through the forest, the Tahune AirWalk is elevated high above the ground, giving you a bird’s-eye view of the beautiful tree species and forest life.

Walk through the three-storey high canopy of a Tasmanian wet forest – home to amazing flora, including Eucalyptus regnans – the world’s tallest flowering plant!

Set in Tasmania’s magnificent Tahune Forest Reserve, the Tahune AirWalk is an experience you will not want to miss. Journey through the heart of the southern forests on this secure walk which is suspended high above the forest floor and offers a spectacular panoramic outlook of Tasmania’s unique tree species.

Eagle Glide Hang Gliding

Thrill seekers, you can’t go past the Eagle Glide Hang Gliding adventure, an exciting way to experience the Tahune Forest Reserve. Feel the wind under your wings as you glide through tall Tasmanian eucalypts, over the Huon River, sensing nothing but adrenalin pumping!

The 400 metre cabled glide runs from the tree canopy to the forest floor, offering a spectacular fun ride. Best of all is that you get two runs on the Eagle Glide ride! Remember to wear enclosed footwear, allow for safety briefing time and enjoy the rush as you jump off the platform, and soar above the southern forests.

Segway Tours

Segways are a unique, battery powered, self-balancing personal transporter that is controlled by the rider’s weight transfer.

Explore the Picton riverbank on your very own machine!

Easy to ride and addictive fun – machine s have a unique self-balancing technology and full training is provided. Suitable for 12 – 70 years old with ability to “climb” stairs unaided.

Mountain Bikes

Test your skills on the new 6-km mountain bike track around the Tahune AirWalk. Along the way, take a break at the edge of the Picton River. While you catch your breath, you may even see one of the platypus that inhabit the river.

The mountain bike track is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders (children must be over 10 years of age). You are welcome to bring your own bike, or alternatively, bikes are available for hire (cost is $25 for 2 hours).
